There's a recent thread that offers instructions on how to make truss rod adjustments on Rics. It specifically points out there are differences in Rics before 1985 and after 1985 and the technique for adjusting the truss rods should be different depending upon when your Ric was made.

Well, I have a 325C64 Miami...a 1964 model but made in 2013. Does my "1964" 325 have the older truss rod configuration or the newer one?

So new style.

While the C series is a very good representation of a 1960s era Electro Strings produced Rickenbacker, it is made in the modern factory using current production techniques. They have not used the old style truss rod system since late 1984.

They no longer use the old "Conversion Varnish" for example. The wiring harness no longer has those big blue bullet capacitors either.

I notice they use the archaic Accent vibrato and roller bridges...figured they really went retro and went with the old truss rod system.
