Hello,
does anybody know if there was a traditional 50s wiring in this guitar and in the limited edition models.
Maybe with photos!
thanks a lot!

I have a JL Les Paul Jr. But have never looked into the wiring.
Will try to check it out over the weekend.

Hi Rodney,
i have one too, and i wondered why it does not have the typical 50s wiring nor a bumble bee capacitor, but an orange drop type. It must have the 50's wiring because it is basically a 1956 Junior.
regards
Peter

Why "must"? Charley Christian P/U is also not typical 50s LP Jr

You are right Peter, mine has an orange drop too.
To be honest, the wiring does not bother me so much as long as it plays and sounds good

Great Photos Kent!
i think later the finish was red, like in the limited edition. Mine was delivered in a black case, but i know that some of them were delivered in brown cases. Does any body know, why there is such a difference? I also like to see photos of your guitars, whoever owns this guitar! i will try to upload some photographs too!
Greetings
Peter

But in pix of Lennon I only see the lighter brown color or the sunburst

i think after the Madison Square Garden concert he let it paint red, according to the Gibson sources who examined the Original Guitar!
