If you like his album Rigor Mortis Sets In there's a performance of Entwistle playing Peg Leg Peggy on the Old Grey Whistle Test, 1973. He's playing a Rickenbacker Lightshow bass. Straight ahead rock'n'roll.

Thanks for sharing; that's awesome. Sharing a link would be even awesomer.

Fairly sure it's been discussed here more than a few times.
Here's a link -- terrible quality, but don't know of a better copy:

BTW, you can't really tell if the lights are on..

Excellent! Much better quality.
Can't tell if there are two cords plugged in (one for the lights), but with the bright stage lights it would be hard to see them working anyway.

I'm w/iPad and haven't taken the time to figure out copying and pasting links on it. Figured it'd been dealt with previously here but am a big fan of Entwistle's solo stuff and thought some might like to see it. So many humble thanks for posting clearer versions! There are other clips from that same episode and aside from that a later, stellar version of Two Late the Hereo with Skunk Baxter on gtr, Simon Philips on drms, and other greats involved. Unfortunately no Rick on it. Big plus that it's not mimed.

Put your finger in the address bar and hold it for a second. It will pop up with the option to copy the link. Even though it might not show the whole link, it's there.
