The Smithsonian Channel has a new series that started recently - "Rock'N'Roll Inventions" - that celebrates the role of invention and innovation in influencing rock music. As one would hope/expect, Rickenbacker has a strong presence, especially in the second episode "Going Electric" featuring multiple clips/comments from John Hall as well as numerous appearances of RIC instruments throughout. The series itself is sort of all over the place (not a straight-up chronology of things), but music fans and gear heads will enjoy it. (It's good to see Dave Davies looking well.) Recommend it to those whose TV provider has the channel.

Very cool Series so far. Haven't seen that one yet have or recording. Will be watching it as soon as it's recorded.

I have episode 2 on the DVR. Good show. I hope to catch and record the first episode...
