Bass Toaster RI still same as guitar?

hello! i've been doing a little research, just wondering if a bass toaster manufactured last year would still be the same electronically as the guitar ones. i know they are threaded for pickup mounting, but besides that it should be a perfect drop in replacement for the hi gains in my 360/12 right? i only ask because i have a very very good deal on a pair of bass toasters and i want to make sure i don't make a big mistake!!
