4004 tuner story

So I ordered a Drop-D tuner for my new 4004, just like I have on all of my other basses. Installing that went fine, but while I was putting new strings on the thing, the high G-string tuner fell apart on me (from what I could tell, something about the turning mechanism inside just broke apart).

I ordered a replacement but I was worried the neck would warp with only 3/4 the string tension on it for a week or two.

So as an experiment, I decided to try and put the old E-string tuner that I had removed into the G-string's slot, just to hold the string in place temporarily
It worked surprisingly well.

Obviously it doesn't look right, but it fit fine, it holds the string and it turns freely, so that worked out pretty well.
