Where to find gold nameplate screws?

I received a used 4004Cii yesterday and the nameplate screws have been completely stripped, so I'm looking for replacements.
I know the RIC part number is 05209, but I can't find anywhere that actually sells these, or even another screw with equivalent specs.

Hardware stores are a good shot to try to find some. I have one in my area in Maryland (ACE hardware) that has all sorts of weird sizes and materials. I bet you could find some in a place like that.
I know this is a dumb question, but are you sure it is the metal screw threads that are stripped, or just the holes in the wood? If the screws are fine but the holes are stripped that is an easy fix.

Sorry, I was tired. When I said "stripped", what I meant was that the heads were shredded up and the screwdriver couldn't turn them anymore.

I think Gibson spec ones may fit - they'll be easier to get on ebay.

You may have a hard time finding a gold screw of that diameter and length at a hardware store. You might try a hobby shop.
The Rickenbacker part number that you need is 05209, "SCREW TAP 3 x 3/8 RD PH [gold]" (Phillips head tap screw, round head, #3 (diameter), 3/8" length) shown in the 4004L/4004Ciis bass schematic at the RIC website:

- Excerpted from

for instructional purposes only.
Although I could not find it listed in the Rickenbacker Boutique (
http://boutique.rickenbacker.com/), you might be able to call Rickenbacker Service and order it. There may be a minimum order, but you could get a t-shirt or some strings to make up the difference.

I ended up using these screws from Stewmac:

They don't look the same but they fit well enough.
