Oh man!
I like to share this with you all.
I purchased recently a '73 4001 in Fireglo. The luthier replaced the worn out frets and installed a lollar horseshoe.
The wood is exeptionally good; dense birdseye maple with the darkest rosewood you've ever seen.
It took a bit of time, a bit of trial and error but finally here it is; this KILLER Rickenbacker sound!
I was searching for it for a long time and now I've found it.
Thomastik Infeld flats and a tube amplifier btw.
