Another cool book
From this book I've learned that Boyd was a music producer and manager who began his career in Boston self-promoting concerts by Lonnie Johnson and rural blues artists, leading to work with George Wein, including doing the sound for Bob Dylan's 1965 Newport festival set. After promoting folk and blues shows in England, Boyd was a founder of the UFO club in London, produced Pink Floyd's first single and went on to manage and produce the Fairport Convention. I'd been discovering Sandy Denny's music and the Fairport Convention anyway, so it is nice to gain some more knowledge about her and the band. I hadn't realized Boyd's importance as the producer and promoter of Nick Drake, the Incredible String Band, Maria and Geoff Muldaur.
