Kids,

If this has been discussed before, than can you send me link? I'm curious about a short summary of when Rick switched from using templates (and band saws/routers... I suppose), and the evolution to CAD. I've seen the various CAD videos on the internet. When did all that start happening?

I remember seeing some post about the different shapes of the lower horn/bout and I think Mr. Hall commented on that. I'm just curious.

Thanks in advance,

JKC

Well, I know for sure it was earlier than Aug 2006. Let's see what more can be said, here.

I'm sure that it was a slow process that took several years to get all of the various models onto the CAD system. I thought that it began in the late 90's. I don't know where I got that information. Probably somewhere on the internet.

The first CNC-made bodies were done in July, 1995, the Model 330 being the first model. Sticking with you literally, CAD usage began earlier in January 1995, when I did the first programming as a student at the CNC maker's factory in Coburg, Germany.
