I just converted my 4003s to a 5 string. I'm using a 40-120 DR set so the intonation is excellent but I would really like to use a 125 B string. Anyone have success with intonation of a 125 B?

I didn't like the 130 B or the 120 B and settled on the D'Addario EXL-220-5 with a 125 B... never looked back. Don't hear any intonation issues.

I use La Bella regular gauge white tapes. The 135 has a core which is about the same as a 120 conventional string. I tune it up from B to C to get better consistency of feel across all five strings and so it does not flop.

I like the .136 B strings I get from Kalium. They spec out at about 40lbs tensiom. Anything lighter is a little too floppy and lacks the definition I like.
