Dear all
I picked up a 1983 350 (original 24 fret model). I will get a picture up tomorrow, but a few things I'm noticing in the meantime:
1. the frets are probably the lowest I've ever seen on a Ric. I don't think it's wear as the height is even across the fretboard, plus the fretboard varnish is immaculate. Usually if a guitar has been played so much the frets wear down then the varnish also wears in a few spots and the fret wear itself is uneven.
2. The slab of wood for the fingerboard is the thickest I've seen - quite a lot thicker than my 2005 330, and the nut is correspondingly higher
3. The saddles on the bridge are steel rather than aluminium
4. It has the choke cap on the bridge pickup
Is all this normal for a Ric of that era?
It also has Rotomatics but I believe they were on standard models until the late '80s.

IMO, yes. Would love to see a pic! That's an early 350.parker_knoll wrote: Is all this normal for a Ric of that era?
