4003 neck dive/heaviness solution (if needed).

Step one: Installed Hipshot Ultralight tuners. Lightens up the headstock noticeably. Bass lighter on the shoulder afterwards.

Step two: Bought a "Comfort Strapp" brand strap. Thanks for the tip from a forumite here. Stays in position better and doesn't let the bass slide down so easily.

Step three: Installed Dunlop Dual Design Straploks. The extremely tall design (see comparison pics attached) offsets the weight enough to help eliminate neck heaviness.

Praise the Lord, the bass feels lighter and neck doesn't fall down anymore. Headstock stands higher now. Angle of instrument way better (for me. I like the headstock to stay up high, and the body low.). Way more comfy.

Just thought I'd post the solution that worked for me here in case anyone else wants their bass less neck heavy.

MIchael: I like the guard. Interesting idea as it shows off the body more.

Thank you.
Yes I use the clear guard to see more of the grain and burst, which I think is so nice looking.
I don't mind seeing the wire/shielding.
I kept the original 4003 guard and harness.
I also have a white guard that goes with this HB1/noiseless setup.

I think next time I would just get a 4004.
So this is my "4003/4" :)
