While skipping around You Tube for the song "Woo Hoo" (originally by the Rock-A-Teens, ca. 1959, but covered by the all-woman band The 5,6,7,8,'s in Kill Bill Vol. 1 ... which was on TV recently, thus the interest in the song .. oh, and it was used by a phone company, maybe Vonage, in a TV commercial, too), I came across this video (in German, no less), "Kottan's Kapelle - Woo-Hoo":

Although we don't see a close-up of the bass and bass player, this screen shot shows the head stock ... the tuners are too close to the end to be regular 4003S.

The 5.6.7.8.'s in Kill Bill Vol. 1 (but It may be a montage, not exactly as it appears in the film).

And which year(s) of manufacture, since 8-stringers have had two headstocks: 1) the potato; and 2) elongated 4003?
