Great show, Jason. Even the commercial breaks (the beverage sponsor).

Hi Jason,
I'm in the UK, so all this fun happened while I was asleep. Have just watched it on catch-up. Really enjoyed that - thank you!
One question: you told us about the Rick tapewounds on the fretless. If you can remember, could you tell us what strings are on each of the other basses?
Cheers,
Ken

Hey Ken - I'll try to do another one at a UK-friendly time... Aus/NZ too. I usually use totally standard D'addarios. Whatever the most normal common gauge there is is.
Unrelated - I recently bought one of Lee Sklar's fretless Yamaha basses, and it arrived with a crazy light G string - he told me it's a 40, that's what he always uses on top. Super silky smooth -- great feel. He also uses mandolin frets on fretted basses... not sure I want to get that nutty, and definitely not on my Ricks.

I am not sure it they are mandolin small, but when Martin Keith made my fretted Elfin 5 I requested very small frets. They feel fantastic.

Nice work Jason. Loved the 8 string coverage.
