Someone on a dutch bassguitarists facebook group mentioned he wanted a Gunmetal Grey Rickenbacker bassguitar. He mentions he once saw a batch of these basses at Rick headquarters.

Now that he mentioned it my memory also has a vague memory of a batch of these. I cant find it in the Paul D. Boyer bible and a search on gunmetal over here does not give anything. A search on Grey gives too much.

Does anyone has better memory, or better search capabilities, than I have?

Noir is black as far as I know.
Gun metal is blue/black.

There was a batch of satin black basses made back in '07, kind of an experiment it seems. There have also been some recent metallic black specials as well, like the Jetglo PearlStars. "Gunmetal" is kind of a vague term for a color as it could be any shade of black, maybe a "cool" (bluish) black or gray. Throw in the variable of a person's color perception and we can go around in circles forever.
