How is everyone doing here? This is my yearly post. I was wondering if anyone here knows what year Ric 4003 pickups got the two ridges on top that surround the buttons on top? I want to say I first started seeing them sometime during the later 1990's but am not sure, if someone here could narrow it down it would be appreciated. I can't find a clear enough photo of one but I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.

I've thought about this before, more on the guitar side, but I believe it is around '92 or '93. Poke around the register here and see if you can figure it out - I'll do the same.

Thank you, I will check later on but that does sound right to me, thanks.

Thank you, you forget these little things when you get old.

My first Rick was a May 1991 360/12 so I'll never forget that they were still breadboards then. In recent years I have been surprised to see the change was so soon after that. I definitely wish I still had that one! I'm worried I'll see it pop up on Reverb, but with one of those crazy asking prices like $4K.

Used Rics are more expensive than now ones now, it's crazy.
