Gorgeous, though not sure I like what's going on with the bridge/tailpiece. (With no routing for the mute, should have just used a traditional rectangular bridge.)
How'd they manage to do the headstock without leaving marks from the original six tuners?

Can't tell, but it looks like the neck and headstock may be painted an opaque tan color.

There was some discussion on Rickenbacker Bass Guitars Facebook page, and chiming in was the guy who put it together - Larry Davis!!! So I'm pretty sure it was done with some skill!
