fireglo touch up paint

I have an 81 Rickenbacker in mint condition. Fire Glo. The only flaw is it hsa a small chip on the bottom horn. Anyone have any ideas or know of a touch paint to use. i know it wont be perfect, but right now you can see the maple wood. its really tiny. just looking to touch it up.

A common touch-up method, if the chip is truly small, is various shades of acrylic fingernail polish.

Personally, I'd leave it as is. It may turn out looking worse than just being a chip.

Unless you're refinishing the whole thing, the fix will always be obvious.

Just color matching can be a challenge. Blending in the fix with the existing finish will also cause problems.

Mint doesn't include chips, unless it's ice cream!

My advice is wear the ding with pride, if you want brand new and mint, buy new.

I have to agree. If it's chipped, it's no longer mint. A chip immediately drops it to near mint, at best.

I’ve alway used a crayon. I have the same color crayon in my case forever, better than nothing. Rub it very hard and polish with a soft cloth.
