Just wondering - What record company were the Searchers most happy with - (ie. promoting their songs, engineering techniques, etc.)

I submit "Each Time" as one of my favourite Searcher songs. MP's lead guitar and Chris and Frank's angelic harmonies are very impressive.

You'll have no disagreement from me on this number. Truly a terrific song and excellent recording. I would really like to know more about how this song came together in the recording studio.

Being another Jackie DeShannon composition, I would not disagree either! If anyone is interested, I am the webmaster for the Jackie DeShannon Appreciation Society, whose website is at http://jackiedeshannon.tripod.com/

"Each Time" is a perfect example of that dense, echoed sound they were experimenting with at the time, and I have to go with Alan on this one--hard to disagree with their choice of a Jackie DeShannon song! I think this track is one of the reasons we all love their "No. 4" album so much. I, too, would be interested in learning more about the recording of this one.

I believe that "Each Time" should have been released as a U.K. single in the Autumn of 1965, (instead of "When I Get Home"). I am sure it would have been a big hit and extended The Searchers chart career.

I agree Tim. Why do things become so clear 35 years later?
