FireGlo or Amber FireGlo ?

Post by steverok »

Hey All.

This is a 2007. Can you all help me determine if this is FireGlo or Amber FireGlo ? The shade of the binding makes me think it's Amber FireGlo.

If it's a 2007 model, chances are that it's Amber Fireglo because that was the COY.

This! No question.

If you want/need hard proof, RIC CS can provide that if you give them the serial number.

Received this beauty (360-12 Amber FireGlo) from Norm's Rare Guitars yesterday. Jesus this thing is pretty. Such dark beauty, Of course I have to do the customary nut re-design, as this is a 2007. Can't even play a D chord on it. Did Ric ever start cutting better nuts for their 12-strings ? I feel I could do a better job laying that out for them. Customers would be much happier.

It's AFG. The yellowed fret markers and binding prove it.

I always thought RIC should have tried Amber Mapleglo while they were at it. I think it would go well on a brand new 4005.

IIRC, John had mentioned they did experiment with that, at one point.
