Hello,

I've got a few Ricks and I use the janglebox pedal and I get a TON of noise, the kind that stops when you touch the metal on the instrument cable, or the tuners, or to some extend the strings. On my Fenders, I shield them and it's silent, but those are solid body guitars with a pickup cavity.

How does one shield a Rickenbacker? I have one 330-6 and two 360-12s.

Can anyone let me know what needs to be shielded?

Are you sure there is a good ground connection between the bridge and the output jack? My 320 is not particularly noisy when I take my hands of the strings. I mean it is mostly shielded cable inside and the pickup covers are grounded. It should not be that noisy I guess. I think the only part that you could shield would be the pots and the wires between them, by building a sort of cage around it. Or maybe start with sticking some metal foil to the back of control plate over the pots?

Hey all, wanted to give this a bump. I use a janglebox compressor, which is the reason for the extra noise. without that it's pretty silent. Looking for some advice on how to shield a rickenbacker.
