Hinge For Rickenbacker Case

Post by HKC »

Hi there
I have a '99 330/12 where one of the hinges is loose. I can't figure out how the hinges are mounted, there are no obvious screws anywhere.
Does anybody know anything about this ?

All the best

Oh there are more than one !
All my "new" Rickenbacker's are SKB so I thought that was the way they all were these days.

On the SKB case, the hinges are mounted from the inside. You need to take out the Styrofoam inner to access those screws (and hope you don't break the Styrofoam).

Personally I would leave it alone if the case is functional. SKB might be able to help you with the part, but it would be a better solution and less hassle to simply replace the case.
