Don't you want to make all those butcher block countertops and island for your kitchen?
No, I have a stash of curly maple for that.
Like the two stashes I have (flat and rift sawn red oak, and quarter sawn white oak)?
Nice! Our new dining room set is quartersawn white oak.

As is ours, along with my computer desk in the same room, all Amish built. In fact, all the wood trim downstairs is quartersawn white oak.

Here is the wainscot we put in the dining room.

I designed the wainscot (and everything else, for that matter, for all the renovation projects). I made a drawing of the wainscot on the walls before demolition to get an idea of how it would look, and again, after the drywall was put up to get a more accurate representation of it full-size (wall dimensions changed slightly from the old walls to the new ones.

This is a drawing I made of the East wall's wainscot during my preliminary design of the room.

Att'n : RIC_FACTORY

The gist being that roasting mahogany
1) is done
2) brings little color change

Might discuss w/'Papa John'.

None that I know of, but I suppose they could.

Some of the first model 4000 basses were made with mahogany, but construction switched to maple and walnut as they were easier to work with. Check for more information in the book. :)

I have often wondered what a Wainscot was! Do you put on puppet shows from there?

I suppose if we were to remove the two piano windows we could do such a thing!
