4005XC replacement case

Post by JeffHaddad »

I have an Amber Fireglo 4005XC and during renovations at my house, it was at a storage unit and the case stood in a small amount of water. I was notified right away but before I could dry out the case the foam at the bottom of the case started to get moldy. THE BASS IS UNDAMAGED! I was able to remove it from the case right away but could not dry out the case quickly enough.

Does anybody know if there is a replacement case available anywhere? I've messaged Rickenbacker through the website just last night so haven't heard back yet. I really want to get the proper silver/black case with blue lining - it's only right to have the deluxe case for such a great instrument. Thanks!

Im pretty sure you just have to wait for RIC to get back to you. RIC cases are proprietary.

Jeff -
Were you able to find a 4005XC replacement case?

How different is the 4005XC case from the regular 4000 series vintage case? Dimensions?

About an inch and a half longer, for starters.
