Maybe Rick Neilsen of Cheap Trick would be interested in it to go with one of his checkerboard Hamers!

Mr. Zanders plays an older Rick on some songs... I've half thought of asking if they wanted to borrow it... Be a fun goof.

Now if you could find a matching guitar pick ...

That’s great! I only have checkers on the outside… :( Nice move going along the diagonal. It has a harlequin/tuxedo vibe. Did you paint it or is that contact paper?

I LIKE IT; BRAVO!
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

Thanks for the comments. I've been covered up with work.

As for the questions on contact paper... No, but I'll defer to Pat Wilkins. It is some sort of transfer that is clear coated over, then blended with the finish.

I had him do a bass for me with same pattern (Kenny H. knows it), but that one was stripped, so he painted the back and neck Winter White to match the checkerboard. That was also bound on front.

The 350 was JetGlo. The pattern is only on the front and the back is still JetGlo. As you can see, he left the headstock... I think smart, because it is small. Unbound guitar. I was concerned because there was no clear edge. Didn't think about it, but the "... ramp" for the tailpiece is not on the bass. Worked out great.

In person, the white is more of a Winter color. Not bright... Which is perfect. Looks aged or mellowed out.

Turned out great. Cannot say enough positive things about the work. Wilkins has done 3 for me so far. If any of you are looking for refinish, or something unique, I recommend him without reservation.

Again, thanks for the comments and feedback.

PS... I'm kinda short and small-framed. My 360 is big on me. This 350 is rapidly becoming my favorite.
