4003 neck varnish blemishes

Post by Realgone »

Hi guys,

Bought a 4003 at the start of the summer, then this appears last week. Aside from the scratch at the right angle it's milky white which doesn't show in the picture and seem to be underneath the varnish or at least the last coat. You've seen anything like that before? brought back the bass today at the music store. Curious to have your thought on this.

Thanks!

Went to pick up my bass today, the store managed to fixed it. Needed only some buffing. Glad to way it turned out was afraid i'd loose it for a few weeks if it needed to go back to Rickenbacker. :D

Glad it could easily be fixed!
Mine started bubbling around the frets last year, iirc. 2016 model. But I think this is a normal phenomenon. Can’t see it unless you look really close.
