The second video contains a some incorrect information. If the finish of the 360/12 in question is indeed nitrocellulose, it's a refinish, as the factory was using CV during that era. I'm also not certain that nitrocellulose age-degrades with the release of "nitric acid" ... it's more likely to degrade with the generation of some other oxides of nitrogen (NOx) that are also oxidizers.
