'73 and '74 single-pickup 4000 models are rare enough, but these are also from Randy Bachman's collection and they're only estimating $2,000-4,000 price. Both descriptions say they were studio played on BTO's '75 album Four Wheel Drive.

I noticed these had separate glued-on necks like the 3000 series. The 60's model 4000's from what I can find were through-necks like the 4001.

You are correct. The 4000 and the "4001S" models from mid 1972 to the end of production in the early '80s were "set neck," a common chassis for either one or two-pickup treatment. More about this in the book!
