New to the Forum - Look at my Carl Wilson and 330!

Hello all.
I'm Marc. I've lurked here on and off for years. I have loved Rickenbacker guitars for years; my favorite band is The Beatles and I've always wanted one. A few years back, during the throws of the pandemic, a local shop had a 330/12 in stock. I hadn't been playing guitar for a few years (life, depression, and the works) but I figured I could get back into it. Well, needless to say, a 12 string was not the way to reintroduce myself to the guitar. It ended up going to a nice fellow a few cities over. I practiced, rebuilt my callouses, and rebuilt my guitar collection.
Eventually, I felt it was time, and I started researching Rickenbackers. I got lucky and found a 360/12CW for sale from Chicago Music Exchange. It's in pretty good shape, minus a few dings near the tailpiece. The R tailpiece had exploded (methinks the previous owner used the wrong string?) and the previous owner had installed a trapeze tailpiece. I'm going to put an R tailpiece on (I have the original broken one) and I also put some silver topped knobs and have a replacement pickguard coming to save wear on the signature guard. Lastly, a 12 string Ric bridge; I've heard these suck the tone. I don't care; I like to be in tune past the 5th fret
As the saying goes, when it rains, it pours, and I found a good deal for a brand new 330 online as well. I figured I only live once, and though my wallet isn't happy, I couldn't resist! I ordered an adapter tailpiece from Winfield Vintage and will install the trapeze tailpiece on the 330; toasters will surely follow.
Both are amazing guitars. I posted about these to the facebook, too; I understand that the forum isn't doing so hot as it used to be, but I figure I'll post here in the future primarily. After all, these social media companies must fail eventually. Let's keep this repository of valuable information going. I'll be making sound clips and videos in the future, and I'll be sure to share those here, too. Thanks for having me!
