1963 steel

I just bought this '63 (table steel). Its my first one. How should I tune it and what kind of strings should i use on it. I feel like such a "newbie"!

JW, I'd go for a heavy guage set of flats 13's or whatever & tune to open E or G for starters. Tune to suit the song as required. There are no rules...
Heavy strings keep them stiff as you go up the neck...
Check out a Bob Brosman vid(sp?)for some technique tips.

What model is this (the ebay link is long gone)?
There are string sets for various steels. Standard tunings are E9 and C6.
