Looks good, Jared. Where were you a couple weeks back when I broke the base of my horseshoe ? I like the shoes also.

Hm... There are very interesting things going on in here. Very nice job, Jared. You know, it's just too bad I don't have too much time on my hands these days, otherwise I'd start building replacement pickups for Ricks in earnest. I don't mean building exact replicas of Rick pickups -that would be asking for trouble - just professional-looking, fine-performing, high-gain style replacement pickups to go with your baseplates and horseshoes. Maybe someday, who knows...
Keep up the good work.

Jared,
Your The MAN !!! They look great. I definitely think that is what I am looking for, thanks for making the effort. This design is perfect for those with hi gains who want the horseshoe look and still retain the original magnet assembly. Not to mention the aluminum baseplate for those who need to replace their broken plastic ones.

now if I can just get the polished aluminium to "shade" the same colour blue as the chrome surround.
Its hard to find a good chrome guy here...

That looks awesome! Perhaps you could clearcoat the shoes to keep them shiny?

Jared,
Many props! That is a great job!
How soon until you do into production? I'd like to order one for my '73 4001!

Rob-have thought about the clearcoat, but either the finish keps peeling off or its got that "underwater" look.
Steve- I will be making more of these as son as I can find a better grade of "alloy" to work with. I also need to change to a pyrex cup on my GTAW torch. Can't see a d_mn thing!

That is truly wonderful looking. My 4001 is itching for those too. Keep up the great work, I'm sure you will find a cure.

Nice work, Jared. I hope you can find the right semi-permanent coating.
