Hi everyone! I enjoy the Ric forum...and have been reading for a while but haven't posted much.

I have a question today that I hope someone can answer for me:

On Dave's Guitars (Wisconsin) website, he has this really nice looking "370 '68" for sale. Is this guitar a left over from the Carl Wilson signature run...or is it a custom guitar Dave had made...or a real 1968...something else?

I'm guessing it's a real 68.

It's a real '68 370.

The peghead and the crushed pearl give me faith that it's a real '68. Dave wouldn't lie.

Nice price too. That guitar looks like a true time-capsule piece. If there's doubt, get the serial number.

That is beautiful.... and nothing else sounds or feels like a vintage Ric! I see there are also a couple of Montezuma Browns at Dave's--a 330 and a 360. Wow, are they pretty (But Rich, they don't even come close to your new 660!).... That turquoise 381 really catches my eye, too.

....Or is that really turquoise? Supposedly my eBay-bought 325v59 came from Dave's and the seller was told that it was the special-order color "Cloverfield Green." Mine looks a lot like that color in photos, but in hand it is actually a bit greener. Anyway, I like it, whatever it is!

I had a '67 370 MG with the old style double binding. I bought it for it's rarity and beauty (it can be seen under '60's rarities on this site - it's wearing a newer bridge in the pictures which I later replaced with the correct bridge). Unfortunately, the neck was all but unplayable. It wasn't just the typical Ric narrowness, the fretboard was extremely curved - it almost felt like the back of the neck! Sure was purty though.
