Looks like a 381/12V69 judging by the pickups and the full-width inlays. Did they start with the V69s as early as 1982, or is the guitar misdated?
Sure is a pretty one, though!

The serial number decodes to 1998......

Yep, I see they call it a 1982 in the text listing, that's definitely wrong, it's a 1998 if Q1 is the correct prefix.

They have now corrected the date. I know these guys would have made a typo as they are very knowledgeable about dates. I am about an hour away from this store so I was going down today to check out the push/pull pots...what that was all about. I am ready to buy a 381/12. However, I opened the site today and I see it's on hold. Damn. I'll watch it daily and if I lose I will continue my search for a solid colour one.

I was at the 12th Fret on Saturday, Steve, and it (the 381v69/12) wasn't hanging anywhere in the store. This generally means that it's been sold, but you may want to give them a call to check it's status. I was curious about the push/pull pots, too. Why would someone install them for two single coil pick-ups?
Incidentally, I was surprised at how quickly the 370/12 went. It was gone the same day it was posted. I guess it just goes to show how scarce they are north of the border.

The Guitar Center in Mayfield Heights, Ohio has a 381v69/12 in MG, I was there today and it's still hanging there. They also have a '69 360 in MG that needs a bit of TLC. They have it listed as a '68, but the S/N is IA 046 if I recall. 440/461-0300

Thanks John and Jeff. I really do not have the guts to haul a piece over the border, so I am shopping Canadian. If I did have the guts, I would have bought the turquoise unit at Dave's in Wisconsin...the Holy Grail to me. John, keep me in mind if you see anything. I am in Brantford...the home of Wayne Gretzky.
