The only thing that is a Black Star is the B/S...

But it is black.

With the current inflated Ric bass prices on ebay, I wonder what a real Blackstar would bring.

Amen, dedgoat! The eBay idiots who now are using "Rickenbacker" as a bogus keyword in the text of their ads ("... not a Rickenbacker, Gretsch, GIbson ...") have me steamed up recently. Worse, even though that misuse of keywords is specified in the TOS as a violation of the keyword spamming provision, eBay does nothing about it when I complain.

I guess it's the season that the morons flock together ... I just wish they'd get the flock out of eBay!

I had a running e-mail dialog for a while with a guy who was selling a Fender Solid State Bassman on ebay who said it was better than a Walter Woods amp, man, the nerve of the guy! His title was something like: Fender Bassman not Walter Woods; you get the idea. I absolutely hate that kind of thing. The only time it is appropriate is for example, if I were selling NOS RCA 6L6GC tubes and I said something like: "NOS RCA 6L6GC Tubes for Fender, Crate, Peavey". I don't have a problem with that as these tubes are used in such amps and the seller has a right to get to those buyers.

I am in agreement with that sentiment, Jeffrey, so long as the list isn't a "laundry list" that tries to include every make and model under the sun (Sunn? Oh no, let's not get Peter started ...).

What also bugs me is a title like 'New Dewalt 6" Planer' and then in the text it is revealed that what is offered is a catalog, not the real item. If it's a catalog, then that should be part of the title, not just in the description.

I actually wanted to get this bass as a project. Make a baritone/Bass VI out of it.

those 2030's are nice basses ... not as pretty as a 4003/4001 but they play nice and sound nice ... lots of treble bite and quieter electronics than a 4003/4001

Why in the world do people put stickers on a bass??? or paint all that **** on them???
