Here's another one...is it too good to be true...no tr cover in the pics, but if it's real, aren't these worth more than $420?

What would be the purpose of having Seymour Duncan rewind the pickups? I could understand if it is a '60s bass with a broken coil or something, but man, those pickups are already sweet on that thing, what an idiot! I just can't imagine Seymour Duncan did anything to improve anything, nothing against Duncan, but if you have a problem with the pickups, why not just buy Duncan drop-in pus, and leave the originals alone?

Why sell it once when you can sell it twice?
I'd buy a CI for $420.

you would really need to invest about $300 to restore the pickups and get a truss rod cover ... that makes the bass close to $800 with shipping ... and then it would be hard to find a black truss rod cover that is black with gold lettering ...
But to get a 4004CI for under $800 still ain't bad ... of course if I bought it it would be turned into a 5 string ... a few bucks more investment

The first buyer gave him a neutral for no response, sale probably never went through. Whatever the reason, I'm suspicious.

If you click on the feedback rating of the "original" buyer, you'll see this:
[negative] JRGRE has completely wasted my time, and money. Used buy it now, and didn't pay
Seller mephistofun( 14) Jan-09-04 12:34 2370901716
Reply by jrgre: Did not send message for 4 days. Rather negative feedback then to loose money
And here's what Dave's alluding to in the seller's feedback profile:
[neutral] did not answer for 4 days. slow responce
Buyer jrgre( 37) Jan-09-04 15:32 2370901716
This is a typical case of miscommunication, and it's happened to me more than once (but only one time did it result in my receiving neutral feedback - my only one). In fact, just this past week, I e-mailed the seller of an item immediately after it ended on Thursday, and it took the seller until late Saturday to get back with me with the total. I just try to be patient. And more patient. And more patient... and hope others will be so with me!

"and then it would be hard to find a black truss rod cover that is black with gold lettering ... "
If some one would send me a black with white lettering TRC I'll send him/her my black with gold lettering TRC.
