Gold Guards on 300 series Guitars

I've noticed that there are several new instruments on the Pick of the Ricks site that have gold pickguards and nameplates that are gold with black lettering. Is this a new option offered by Rickenbacker? I don't see anything on their site about it, and I missed an announcement if there was one. Mr Hall?

I believe the pick guards are aftermarket and are available @ the-music-connection.com, about $59 for the set. As for the name plate They were available a few years back as an option(like the black ones) however I, have yet to see them available. Call pick of the ricks they might have more info on them. They do look great with certain colors.
