The treble pickup surround look odd, did RIC make surrounds with such large radius corners?

The treble p/u cover looks just like my '74, but good call on the strap buttons. Where the hell are they?

This must be the rare "Hover-RIC" model that floats in place without the need for a strap.

Saw that one yesterday, and duly downloaded it. 'ND', April 1974, exactly the month & year of manufacture of the used 4001 I received from the States a couple of months ago.
As for that treble p.u. surround, it is legit. Corner radius tended to vary back in the 70s and 80s.
