I think the bass and the amp are both fakes ...
A nameplate don't make it real ...

I sent the guy an innocent e-mail asking if it has a bolt on neck. Waiting for response.
If it's fake, he has to remove it, doesn't he?

maybe by gold inlays he means faded white inlays. mine are a little brownish gold. DO they fade after 24 years? At least I know they're not white like the brand new Rick I saw in the music store

They're sparkly, not really gold, I don't think they could mistake them. And besides the bass pickup is in the wrong position for it to have the wide sparkly inlays...Thats the one thing I see for sure...

My crushed pearl inlays on my '67 4005WB may have yellowed a bit but they sure don't look like gold inlays.

The amp is real, either way. At least it looks real from the sucky pictures.

Aw, come on, guys! That 'Rick' on Ebay is a fake, and I could swear the 'Rick' amp is, too. See 'The Fakes Thread'.

The logo plate DOES look like it's from a late-'70s TR series amp. Hmm. I've never seen a phony Ric amp...

Why would anyone "Fake" a Ric amp? I have seen F*nd*rs of the same type go for twice as much! And let's face it, Ric amps usually dont go for that much on Ebay.

But Ric and Ric, maybe if both are fakes, he stands to make more than if they were, say, Ibinez and Univox. And why are the pictures so bad? I'm a TERRIBLE PHOTOGRAPHER AND EVEN MINE ARE BETTER TAHN THOSE. woops.
