Hi-tech rigs with Ricks?

Is anyone using hitech rigs like Epifani, Demeter, Acme, Bergantino, EA etc with their Rickenbackers?
How do you like it? Please specify which rig and what sound you get.
Or do you have to get an SVT or a Hiwatt when playing Ricks
?

Rics sound good plugged into most anything ... I prefer ampeg ... my buddy Steve Cooper is going with GK ...
I am also really big into my line 6 pod as a front end tone shaper ...

My 2 cents:
Live: Trace Elliot GP7SM Head for preamp with generic 300w/side power amp... and/or an 80's Marshall 200w solid state bass rackmount head. 2 Sonic 15" bass Cab's with EV's. also use a Carvin 2x10 cab sometimes. Good enough for me....so far.
Bass Pod for recording.

Im a simple man, Carvin R-1000 thru Ampeg BSE410HLF. I do have a friend who builds pro-sound equipment thats building me a 1-15" cab that I can drop any 2-space amp into. Im thinking of powering it with my ampeg B2. Small, compact, great tone.

My previous backline rig was an Avalon U5 Direct Box straight into a Mackie 450/1500 powered speaker combo. Wicked "hi-tech" tone... but now, nothing beats my all-tube Mesa Boogie Buster! Bass 200 combo amp.
Grunts with vintage vibe when pushed!
Simple, yet bada$$!

yes if only MESA put in used friendly biasing circuits.
Bass 400+ = 12 6L6GC! All matched from Triode Electronics

At this afternoons session one track I used my V63 on ran the signal into an Avalon U-5, High Cut engaged, XLR out to the board. I also ran the Thru/Out signal into a Bass Pod XT Pro with modeled Dual Showman XLR'd to the board. We then re-amped that thru the Bass Pod using the "Pepperland" model. Tone Yield: Vintage "THOOM", very punchy flatwound pick tone.
I also used the C64S with roundwounds into a Brent Averhill Neve repackage strip feeding the Manley Voxbox. Tone Yield: CLassic Prog Rock.

I used to have a Mesa 400, it came tube time and I sold it off and went back to the Trace stuff. I found the Mesa too heavy and didn't really like the tone that much, my SVT on the other hand was great, but unreliable.

Not only are good chrome guys non-existant, but so are good amp techs!
Hard enought to keep the Boogie running but most of the SVTs are fried here.
go figure
