Lefty: Certainly a pretty "combonation."

Looks like the two on the right are without strings... Perhaps there's something wrong with them? I'll be generous... $100 for both of 'em, no questions asked.

Well... I can dream, can't I?

I believe the two w/o strings date from 1957..

Yes, the two on the left are from 1958. The two on the right are from 1957. You can see the different knob positioning. Also, the ones made in '58 are much lighter because of a deeper carve around the edge, and more wood routed out under the pickguard. The 1957 850 with the lighter shade, has retained its light natural, un-yellowed color because it has been in its case most of its life and has hardly ever been exposed to light.

I believe the two on the right were the first "air guitar" prototypes.....

Sir Andrew, you're looking for a good price with no strings attached?

LOL... good one, Mortivan!

Yes, I thought I might try to "pickup" a good deal. I mean, with a horseshoe like that, it would be quite a "steel."

Mortivan and Left Coast: I see that you, along with David are drumming up some enthusiasm behind the scene for the 850 Combo.
