Rickenbacker Forum Conference, Anyone?

Hi Folks:
Would there be any interest in a Rick Forum Conference? Our Department at the Univ. of Northern Colorado sponsors an event for professors in the field of Ed. Tech. every other year at the YMCA of the Rockies near Estes Park, Colorado, and that got me thinking about a similar event for this group. The Y is a great family environment, and it's not too pricey for non-profit orgs. We could have workshops, jam sessions, concerts, lectures, etc. There is much to do in nearby Rocky Mtn. National Park, hiking, sightseeing, fishing, golf in Estes Park, great restaurants and pubs, etc. If we can create a buzz, I would be willing to do some initial investigation. It takes about a year to plan one of these.

That sounds like a lot of fun! But I'll need to convince my husband that we need to take our family vacation in Colorado to go play....and somehow keep my guitar(s) from baking in the car on the long trip!

Make it Vail, Aspen, or Telluride in winter and you can count me in for Colorado!

John: I take my family to Aspen every spring break (week after next). I'll check into things there. Snowmass Village has excellent conference faciities. Our state technology group meets there in June which is off season. My guess is that winter rates would be prohibitive for many (except CEO's and celebrities:-)

I'm in, but make it warm weather in the winter. I'm trying to escape cold winters and I'm only in Nothern New Jersey. Phoenix /Scottsdale or Tuscon are beautiful in the winter and very reasonable. I'd even chip in to pay for Mr Halls airline tickets if we could convince him to actually attend!!

You just got an "I'am in from the CEO" and you are complaining about ****** damp winter in New England? (I hate the cold to Bruce), Denver has 300 days of sunshine a year and it can range from 40-65 degrees in the winter and its dry not the bone chilling weather we get. Hell since we're all travelling lets make it LA, as in near Santa Ana..ala Rick Resource special factory tour?? :}

Michael, your idea sounds great to me, especially since I live pretty close to where RIC is.

Michael, I came on line to suggest that very same idea. Usually airfare to LA is cheap from anywhere. I don't know though, do you think JH would be ready for a bunch of drooling jaw dropped individuals (please take no offense, I'm really only speaking for myself).

I'm game. As to Canada, Colorado, or Santa Ana, it really makes no difference to me.
