As a great fan of the city of Liverpool, from the late XIX century and the 'White Start and Cunard days until the late sixties, I´m delighted to start posting here. Recently, I have received a copy of 'Liverpool Days', the book that Astrid Kirchherr and Max Scheler did for 'Genesis' in 1994. There are only 2500 copies, signed by both authors. The fascinating pictures are those that show the liverpudlians, the people in the streets, the child playing, the houses. A fabulous book (rather expensive, that´s true, but fabulous nonetheless).

Miguel: Do you have the address of the publisher? It sounds fascinating and a must have for me.

Oh, yes, Peter, it is out of print. In fact, the edition sold out days after it went for sale. Now is a collectable book. I paid 700 USD for my copy. Yes, it´s fascinating! I´ll keep posting here to keep the 'Liverpool Project' alive.

Miguel: Perhaps seeing as the book is out of print, you might select a couple of photos of Liverpool to post and review here that will stimulate discussion.

Yes, I´ll do that, Peter. I´ll have to pick up some of the little ones, for the book is full of two-page photos! There are fantastic photos of The Merseybeats (mid 1964, with Johnny Gustafson), of Mathew Street, of fans... I´ll try to post some this weekend. Meanwhile... let´s talk about The Escorts!
