Depends on what you've been smoking or drinking, Jeff. It's a huge step up in quality over the paint job my old Chevy Nova got. That one changed from metallic gold to dull puke green over the course of a couple of years, with the top changing first and then working down the sides. If you wear tie dyed clothes to a gig, this one would work for you.

I just crossed my eyes while looking at it and I swear I saw Mother Mary! OK, that's the last time I catch a buzz before breakfast!

I've seen a lot worse...like Miguel said, if that was done by Peter Max, then it would be genius. But compared to the bass that was on Ebay this week, with the "Van Halen"esque 80's crackle red/black paint job, this one looks like a keeper!

Hmmm.... I'd call that one a "Hippiebacker!" But it is kind of cool in a way.... Look at the detailed painting in the close-up of the headstock; some artistic type really put a lot of time into it. Like Phil said, you'd have to wear tie-dyed clothes with that one or it just wouldn't look right. Groovy!

Well, speaking as one who recently described a stripped Tuxedo as 'lovely mapleglo', my ability to judge aesthetics is clearly suspect. However, I'd have to agree with you, Melissa - whoever did this has some talent as an artist, whether or not you like the end result.
It only needs the gentle application of a belt sander for the final touch

They should use this guitar on a poster ...
This is your Rickenbacker
This is your Rickenbacker on drugs
Any questions?

It's funny to me that the seller finds it neccesary to state it's a "pre-owned" Rickenbacker.

I think there should be a "Ricken-monsters" photo thread in this forum!
