I don't know, Im using a Carvin R-600 with a Sansamp bass driver now. I have a chance to get an Eden Wt400. Does anyone have one. I play Classic rock, but an Ampeg or Mesa 400 are to heavy for my old back. How are these Edens compared to the old tube sound. I must admit, the sansamp comes close. I just want some input on this Eden before I pull the trigger. Thanks for any input.

I've never owned one but I have played them a few times. It's not the old tube sound and the preamp tube isn't even in a gain circuit but they are warm sounding (IMHO much warmer than SWR) and the preamp controls offer a lot of flexibility.

I've heard some people comment about the fan being noisy but I never noticed that on the ones I played.

Eden is Similar to GK or SWR ... clean and powerful and plenty of overhead ...

I'll let you know how it sounds with my new ric. I just won one off the bay. Its a wt500 upgraded to a wt800. I love a warm low end, but I want some punch also. Worse case I'll use the sansamp with it.

I've been playing G&L's, L2000, SB2, and LB100. Im so impressed with this Ric im ready to go all Ric. G&L's are GREAT basses, but I really love the sound and feel of a Ric.

That's the spirit, George!
Go all RIC and I guarantee you won't miss the G&L's a bit.
Congratulations on the WT500.
