Bass Pickups

Do all RIc basses have six pole pickups in the neck position as in the attached ?

No just the toaster pickups, which were original equipment during the 60's and early 70's and are also on V63's and the new C64's. (re-issue basses) I believe you can still buy these as an upgrade or outright.

hey ... somebody snatch up that bridge pickup with the screw tops ... that is a rare animal ... I put one in my 1968 and it is sweet ...

Their already is a familiar name bidding on it, or there was when I saw them. I have one of those on my 72 FL along with the toaster. So does Paul Yan on his.

Jeff, you sure that's rare?That's what popped up in my 73. Actually that's the one that's giving me problems with the output.

Those screw tops have the small magnets dont they? hence lower output

Yes, it is I Ed Dupont, trying to bid on the vintage pickups. I only will buy then at a reasonable price though. They would be so sweet in my 79 4001S.

The screw tops were only made for a few years in the very early 70's ... the one I put in my 68 has a lot of treble bite even without the capaciter ...
