72 ??? 4001 MG lefty on the Bay

Post by jnbass »

I thought 72's didn't have a skunk stripe, or was it the other way around?

The bass is correct, my '72 is just like it...it's even mapleglo.

I have e-mailed the seller on Monday to discuss the particulars of the bass, but I have not received a reply as of yet. The pic he posted isn't very good, either.

The seller has a left-handed Spector listed as well, with very little detail to the listing.

There's no TRC on that bass.

I believe there is. I can see it a mile off.

For one, the big "R" can be seen, and the logo bends as would on any other 400- lefty. *Shrugs*

I don't think the skunk stripe would run thru the TRC...

That's the bottom line of the Rickenbacker logo.

You can see - it bends.

Just goes to show you: bad pictures = bad news. I too thought there was no TRC until looking again.

BTW the seller e-mailed me and there isn't a truss rod, I knew you were all nuts, haha! I think it was a little wishful thinking actually.

Truss Rod cover I mean, I was in such a hurry to gloat that I forgot to write cover. First year for The Beatles first single "Love me do" I believe or was it 62?

Until you can prove that email - (id est me coming to your dwelling, seeing it on your computer personally), there will always be a TRC on that bass. *wink*
