I didn't see a reserve either. Very strange.

I dunno, it's a used instrument.

Music Go Round has a very rigid pricing policy on their used instruments, they use past sales data to buy and sell. And unless corporate policy had changed they're not supposed to sell on ebay.

This one does not show up as inventory on their web database either. That seemed fishy to me as well.

I'd call the store in WI and inquire about it, their database is only as good as what the stores input. I used to do some work for the now defunct store in OKC.

And it's jetglo, too! Are there many C64's in jetglo? Or are they like the V63's that get the jetglo paint job only if there are imperfections visible in the wood once the instrument is put together?

For the record, Music Go Round stores are franchise operations, very similar to the Subway Sandwich model. As such, the individual stores can vary significantly in the details of their operation, and is only as good as the individual owner chooses to make it.

However, if there is any "quality control" or minimum standards from the franchisor, it's quite unapparent to us. For that reason, some time ago we adopted a corporate policy here that we will not do business with ANY Music Go Round store whatsoever.

Take that message for whatever it's worth.

Not exactly a "ringing endorsement"!

I found them hard to deal with, as JH mentioned the stores operated on their own and nothing was consistant with regards to pricing or policy. Due to owner mismanagement the OKC store died within two years, they did have a great sale when they closed though.

The local Music go round had a rickenfaker on display about a year and a half ago ... they seem to carry a lot of the esteemed "Stagg" brand instruments ...

I thought Stagg made chili?

Anyway the OKC store used to carry the esteemed Lotus line of fine instruments.

I might not be right on this, but a guy named Kenny at the Music Go Round in Greenfield Wisconsin had a Jetglo C64 he bought from Northcoast Music. I remember that Northcoast thought the Jetglo was unusual for the C-64 and Kenny scarfed it right up. He has several Ricks. I've talked with him several times and is a nice guy. Whether he's handling the sale or not, I don't know and can't check as I'm currently out of state. If he is, I would trust him.
