There is a new photo of Chris Squire with his Rickenbacker bass posted on the Rickenbacker Registration Page. Can anyone date this photo?

Peter,
Looks like a pic from the 1980 Drama tour if my guess is correct. Also, you have a pic listed as 1987 under the Squire 2 section that is wrong -- that should be 1997....

Looks earlier than 1980. His hair is too long, and you can just make out Jon Anderson's little 10 string acoustic bottom right.

Definitely one of the the Tormato tours, the first of the 'In the Round' tours. 1978-9. You can see other pics from this tour in the Yesshows album, same suit, Wakeman's on keys, white round stage.

Wow, Saw YES 3 times last week.....
Chris played Great. He's amazing to watch up close!
I got backstage, We talked and Laughed about how much his Bass is selling for on E-bay. I told him he should sell one of his cause he has 2 of them.lol
I asked him if the 8 String he was playin was a Ric, but it's Not. Now that I watched him play it,
I Need an 8 String in my collection.
Anybody else see them?

Do you remember what exactly he said about the 4001cs on ebay? I have not seen YES since 2002. I would like to see them if they ever come back to the midwest and/or Kansas City region. I am not one to travel across the entire country or abroad to see them. It is Rock and Roll after all, and not an investment, religious experience, or pilgrimage. Of course for some- it may be.

I met Chris Backstage in Allentown. Had a Great conversation about his 1st Ric Bass. It was "Cherry Sunburst"
Then he put Stickers and sparkles and stuff on it.
He said it was refined "quite a few times"
I also spoke to his Tech. He changes Strings Every Show.
