Last Rick I bought at Elderly was a Carl Wilson.
But I *know* I won't be getting this particular Rick:

It'll probably go quick...the last couple of 331s I've seen for sale were five digits...

Also, it has the short-lived 'screw shaft' polepiece pickups. Interesting.

Kenny should buy it for the pickups. JH could float him a loan, right?

Jwilli, haven't you already been down The Road Of The 331?

A little bird told me about this one before it was officially for sale- so I was on the Elderly site at 7am yesterday awaiting the pics. ...but it looked a bit too neglected for me to fork over $6500.00. Apparently the light show part works fine, but the sound on this one is quote "awful".
There's another one at guitarbroker for $9500 (no pics yet).

Wow! I guess there's not business like lightshow business Tony. By the way, why don't you make Buck Owens an offer for his.

Wow..I think it has a cool vibe to it. Interesting that it's a Nov. 1972 with early-style high-gains...

Kenny, thats why I want another one! Cool guitar. Thanks to Tony B. for telling me about this one but it looks as though its going to end up somewhere else. The one I owned is one serial number away.

So did John ("You can NEVER have too many Rickenbackers!") Williams end up buying this guitar?
I noticed it on hold for a day or two, then not on hold, then --- Poof! --- gone.

I have a sneaky feeling that Mike Parks got it.
So...how is the sound on these? I've never actually heard one.

Mike got it but, that Gentleman that he is, offered to back off if I wanted it. I thought about it and remembered that I recently laid down some serious cash for that '59 315. Otherwise, the 331 might've been mine.
